After receiving his Bachelors of Architecture from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute in New York in 2010, the rebel in Michael was introduced to Seattle by way of a 100-day, 20,000 mile motorcycle trip around the US and Canada. He was on his way to finding a new place to plant his New York self. The Pacific Northwest spoke to his rock climbing, bike riding, adventurous self and Michael made Seattle his home.
As an intern at Hunter Roberts Construction Group in New York, Michael was assigned to the Hudson Greene project — 2 50-story residential towers — in Jersey City. This is where he learned the inner works of an active project focusing on construction supervision and management. He went on to work as a junior designer at KG&D Architects, and an intermediate designer at Jeff Etelamaki Design Studio and Ralph R. Mackin, Jr. Architects in New York, where he assisted with high end residential new construction and remodels in and around New York City.
At Amento Group, Michael assists with drawing set and specification production, coordinates material compatibility, building inspections and investigations. He attends site visits, completes field repairs, answers RFI’s, and coordinates with various construction managers.
