Year brings a hands-on understanding of building envelope systems to his role as a Building Forensic Specialist at Amento Group. He began his career in remediation construction—quite literally pushing a broom—before working his way into a foreman role performing waterproofing and building envelope repairs on existing buildings. From there, he transitioned into building envelope testing, inspection, and quality assurance, eventually managing teams providing inspection and consulting services for new apartment, condominium, and mixed-use developments from the ground up. Year’s field experience gives him a practical understanding of how buildings are put together, where things can go wrong, and the importance of catching issues before they become bigger problems. At Amento Group, he looks forward to sharing that experience with the team while continuing to investigate problems and find practical solutions.

Away from work, Year enjoys spending time outdoors and, more importantly, with the people in his life. He and his wife enjoy hiking, while hunting and fishing are favorite ways to spend time with family and friends. He’s equally happy simply gathering with those closest to him—whether they’re enjoying an outdoor adventure or just sitting around talking about life.
