1996
Corke Amento, Inc. officially opens its doors marketing “Construction Disputes: Prevention, Presentation, and Resolution Services.”
We land our first big claim resolution job on Port of Seattle’s Pier 66 Project where we served as the neutral party to the Owner, Architect and Contractors.
First employee Lisa Hanses is hired.
1997
Our first construction management project, Rose Pointe, is completed under budget and we are hired to provide a neutral expert opinion during construction of the Mariner’s new stadium.
1998
We’ve outgrown our space and move across the street to the central building.
We welcome Jim Glaser & John Putnam.
We expanded our work into Alaska to work on the Alaska sea life building.
1999
Mike & Steve visit China to help Ralph Allen punch list the Shanghai Children’s Hospital project for Ralph’s client, Project Hope.
2000
We celebrate 5 years in Business!
We’ve got enough dirt on everyone to play Corke Amento Jeopardy at our company retreat at the Heron Beach Inn at Ludlow Bay.
2001
CAI commences construction management services on 2 large projects, One Pacific Tower and the $17,000,000 Seattle Heights project.
The former is CAI’s 15th CM project.
2002
The Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce publishes 2 Articles about Amento Group “Disputes, Defects keeps Consultants Busy” and “Using the Neutrals Process’ to Tame Disputes.”
2003
Mike Corke’s article “Neutrality is the Best Policy” is published in NW Builder Magazine.
We move across the street to the Dexter Horton Building.
2004
Lisa Moe joins Corke Amento, thus launching the architectural services department.
Architectural services eventually represent 35% of our company’s business.
2005
Janet Fife comes aboard.
By our 10th Anniversary, we provide a diverse set of equally weighted services: Construction Claims Consulting, Building Forensics and Construction Management.
2006
The year to get married- Mike & Ellen Corke and Mary & Barry Saltzman.
We host our 2nd annual Mariner’s night (Against the Texas Rangers).
2007
Ben Borland joins Corke Amento.
2008
Steve Amento & Lisa Hanses celebrate 20 years of working together without seeking divorce lawyer counseling.
Aggregate value of completed construction management projects exceeds $100,000,000.
2009
Mike Corke retires.
We begin warranty investigation work on 2200 Westlake Condominiums, thus launching a 7 year saga and our largest CM project.
2010
Lisa Moe & Ben Borland become principals
Ben oversees the Construction Management Division and Lisa manages the Architectural Division.
2011
Corke Amento is Uncorked.
The new vintage is released as Amento Group.
2012
2200 Westlake Condominiums settles with Developer for $26,000,000 which is rumored to be the largest construction defect settlement of its kind in Washington.
Amento Group markets to our future clients with leak detection onesies while the hawks win Superbowl XLVIII and Jim Glaser retires.
2015
Aggregate value of completed construction management projects tops $200M.
2016
Amento Group Turns 20.
Dave Gramann designated to oversee Building Forensics Division. Time out for a celebration!
2017
Janet Fife celebrates 12 years and Ben Borland celebrates 10 years at Amento Group, while Joel Thornburg continues to dangle along the Seattle Skyline.
2018
Steve Amento retires after a 23 year ride at the rodeo.
Ben Borland, Lisa Moe and Dave Gramann take the reigns and start their adventure.
2019
Amento Group has a baby- Meet Vanna, our new company van.
2020
Covid hits but Amento Group continues.
Adds a structural division and welcomes senior structural engineer, Darren Johnston.
Dave Gramann misses his co-workers and comes up with his one hit wonder: “Nothing Compares 2 AG.”
2021
Our team misses each other and escapes to Seabrook for a bit of bonding and team building.
2022
Starting with our first employee, our entire team of 22 (sans our Californian, Nate #14) is seen here in order of their hire date: 1996-2022!
