After growing up in Minnesota and graduating from Iowa State University, Michelle headed west to seek her fortunes and, lucky for us, landed in Seattle. The Pacific Northwest was the perfect place to use her Bachelor of Architecture, combined with a major in environmental studies and minor in sustainability. She claims she’s a “mild” tree hugger, but that’s only because we haven’t caught her in the act…yet.
Our Dean’s List, award winning scholar never sits still. Michelle was a Project Assistant at ISU where she prepared complete construction documents for over 5 University residential renovations; a Chapter Secretary for the AIA Students; and an Administrative Assistant at ISU Dining. Her achievements while in college included Building Performance Analysis Certification, Construction Specifications Institute Design Competition Finalist, a project displayed at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington D.C., and an Award for Competitive Excellence. Now that she only has one job, she takes the time to enjoy drawing, collaging, knitting, jewelry making, cooking and baking.
Michelle assists Amento Group’s Architectural Department with drawing sets and specification production. She has gained on-site construction administration knowledge for expansive repair projects while attending site visits, completing field reports, answering RFI’s, and coordinating with multiple construction managers.
